...i walked and walked, but the streets were foreign to me, i knew i should've stayed on the usual route. See, the reason why i changed my normal route today was because it started raining after about 15 mins of jogging and so i thought i should take a quicker route home, now, usually that plan would be flawless and i would get home quicker, however (there's always a 'however'), me being the KNOWLEDGABLE suburbian, i didn't really know the other roads that well, and so, when i took the supposedly shorter route, it kinda took me off course, by like...a lot haha i'm so smart =.=' anywho, the rain got heavier and it didn't help, however (this 'however' is better news), right before my worried eyes, was a beautiful rainbow, it was simply magnificent and my pace even slowed down to take in the awesome-ness. It was really something. God is great ain't He ? :) anyways, i continued walking and then the 'feeling lost' feeling resumed. I wallked and walked and the street names didn't ring any bells, but i kept walking, remembering that i actually thought "all roads lead to Rome" haha so i kept walking, while simultaneously enjoying the beautiful rainbow.
Also, one other thing, i had an MV moment. MV meaning Music Video. Usually when i go jogging i listen to music on my itouch and today was no different. There was this one unknown street where the setting sunrays shone directly to my face and at the exact moment when the blinding sunray hit my face, a song came on, i cant rmb what song it was, it was asian i think haha but it had that sorta effect, i felt like i was in an MV. It was a similar feel to WongFu Production's "That Girl" MV, performed by David Choi (P.S. both WongFu and David Choi ROCKS !). It was like a particular scene in the mv when both david and the girl were on a beautiful field and they too had that sun-ray-blinding effect haha alright i just made it sound weird but those who have seen the mv would understand me...i hope haha.
So i kept walking/jogging confusingly and then i saw a street name that made me smile, seriously haha it was the street that links to my main street, i was overjoyed ! haha as i turned into the inter-connecting street i rmb thinking "i love my street" haha never thought i would say such a thing but at the time, i really meant it. The feeling stayed as i turned into my street. As i walked down the familiar street with all the familiar flora and imperfect pavement, i had the same thought again, "i love my street". Usually when i walked home from the bus stop (after uni), i would complain that the street was too long and ugly and blablabla...but today, it was just a total different feeling, imma say it again, "i love my street!", haha..The timing was actually pretty good today, i manage to do my 40 mins eventhough i was lost :)
This whole experience got me thinking, specifically about travelling, i know it sounds silly but i was just thinking about how awesome travelling would be. Like, i was just having my usual jogging sesh and by simply using a different/unkown route, i had such an experience haha alright i know ur thinking im crazy to have thought all that from a simple jog but really, i truly had the epiphany about travelling, just being in a completely different country, city, town, street, that would be fantastic! haha i wana go travelling now :P
Yeaaa, that was my highlight of the day haha i basically stayed home watching boston legal and also the usual star trek and stargate :P I love exercising now, it's just so refreshing to go out and breathe fresh air :) I also feel better after having a jog/walk :)
That's all for today, tomorrow i'll be having a hs reunion/catch up @ an awesome buffet restaurant :) CAN'T WAIT ! FOOD...CATCHUP...DRINKS ! haha funfunfun!
Alright, i think it's time for me to sign off :) i'll leave you with just 2 words, 2 words that have made my past few days funnier and happier :P here it is..
